How Kleos works
Kleos shows what a bar or restaurant says is true right now, in its own words, with the time it said it. Not reviews, not guesses.
What you see
- Whether a place is open now, from the hours the venue sets, in its own time zone.
- When the kitchen closes, and what is on tonight.
- The menu at the prices the venue sets.
- The date the venue set each of these, on every listing. When that date is old, the listing says so in days.
Open seats, where a venue counts them
Some venues count their open seats as the night goes. Where one does, you see how many are open, by section, and the time they were counted. A count is shown only while it is under ten minutes old, and it is a count of open seats, not a promise they are together. Seats are counted, never people. Where a venue does not count them, Kleos says room is unknown.
How results are ordered
By fit to what you asked: open now first, then near where you asked, then what you asked for found in what the venue says, such as a burger on its menu or trivia on its night. Every result says why it is there. When nothing fits, Kleos says so, and shows what it does have. No venue can pay to move up.
What Kleos keeps about you
Nothing that says who you are. There is no account and no sign in for guests. Kleos counts questions only by the area of the places they matched and the kind of seat wanted; it does not keep your words or a record of who asked. Like any web page, a search passes through the systems of the company that hosts this site.
If something looks wrong
The venue's own word wins: call or ask them. If a listing is out of date, tell us at [email protected] and we will ask the venue.
